Summer offers the most reliable warm weather and full access to Maple Bench’s trails, creek access, and nearby alpine lakes — expect daytime highs in the mid-60s to mid-80s°F and cool nights in the 40s–50s°F at 5,800 ft. This is prime time for hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, and non-motor boating, though afternoons can bring brief mountain thunderstorms; weekends in July and August see the highest visitation.
