Expect crisp, cold conditions with daytime highs hovering around freezing (33.7°F) and nighttime lows plunging to 21°F. The ridge top location means you'll experience the full force of mountain weather, with moderate snowfall accumulations of 4-5 inches creating a stunning alpine landscape that rewards the hardy adventurer.

While the exact elevation remains unspecified, the location promises that exhilarating feeling of camping at altitude, where mornings dawn crisp and clear, and the stars seem close enough to touch.
Natural Features and SceneryWhere wildflower meadows give way to dense forest, O'Hara Saddle occupies a magical transition zone that showcases the best of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. From your campsite on the ridge, sweeping vistas unfold across open landscapes dotted with stands of evergreens. This remote sanctuary offers uninterrupted views of rolling meadows that stretch toward forested hillsides, creating a serene backdrop for stargazing and wildlife watching in one of Idaho's most untouched corners.
