Nearby Campgrounds

Ute Campground sits in mid-elevation Ponderosa forest within San Juan National Forest, managed by the USFS Pagosa Ranger District near Bayfield. Spacious, shaded sites appeal to tent campers, RV travelers, and groups seeking a quiet base for hiking Haystack Mountain trails and exploring nearby Chimney Rock National Monument. Reviewers praise the privacy, helpful hosts, and clean vault toilets, though parking spurs can be uneven and the potable water has a sulfur taste.
