Spring offers the best balance of comfortable weather and active lakeside wildlife — daytime highs are typically in the 70s–80s°F (20–30°C) with cool nights in the 50s–60s°F (10–18°C). Water temperatures warm enough for early swimming, boating and peak bass/white crappie fishing, while trees and understory green up and migratory waterfowl are still present for excellent wildlife viewing.
