Best Time to Camp at Tahkenitch Landing

Fall delivers the most pleasant camping conditions. Daytime temperatures range from the mid-50s to low 60s, with nights in the 40s. The lake surface stays calm, crowds thin out, and migratory birds pass through in higher numbers. Trails through the pines and dunes are cool enough for comfortable hiking. Summer brings warmer weather and more activity on the water, but also more competition for reservations. Mosquitoes are active in the wetlands from April through August.

Spring(Mar-May)
3.5 / 5

Spring birdwatching and mild coastal conditions make spring appealing and quieter than summer.
