Best Time to Camp at Butler Bar Campground

Fall brings the best conditions: daytime highs in the mid-50s to mid-60s, nights in the 40s, and autumn color along the river. Salmon runs make wildlife viewing excellent. Early rains increase stream flows without full winter storms, keeping trails accessible. Mosquitoes are a real issue in warmer months. Cooler months offer bug-free hiking but wetter conditions.
