Go if

Mountain bikers and tent campers who want a free, quiet base camp in the Hitt Mountains will do well here. Fall is the sweet spot: dry trails, temperatures in the 50s-70s by day, and foliage along the creek. Just haul in your own water from Weiser, 12 miles out.

Skip if

A camp host is sometimes present, and at least one returning visitor had a bad enough experience with them to pick a different campground entirely. With only three sites, a tense camp host dynamic is hard to avoid. Hookups, cell service, and potable water are all absent.

Overview

These three dispersed campsites are on the edge of Mann Creek. This is a great area to explore on a mountain bike; backcountry roads and trails cover miles of the Hitt Mountains.
